The cover for my eBook is finally complete!
I hope you like it. The big question is whether such a cover will entice you to read the teaser? I hope it does. My daughter says she would, and given she is my target audience, I take it as a good sign.
Yes, that's right. My first draft of the Legend of the Orbis was written full-time in three months.
At my best day I wrote around 30 pages while on other days it was hard getting out 8 pages. A friend said I mustn't have had writers block. The truth is, I did have it a couple of times.
How did I overcome it? I just wrote anyway. I pushed through, wrote anything, even if it felt lousy. Soon, I was back in the swing of things. Then I went back and re-edited the first couple of pages of mostly drivel.
Book 1 is complete! I have just received edits back from my nephew, an adult who reads widely, and more particularly, in the fantasy genre. The summary: it's entertaining and credible. Of the four people who read it so far, all say they are interested to see what happens next. One of them, my daughter aged 11, a fantasy novel addict, has read it twice and is pestering me for book 2.
